Hypnosis for Self and Soul

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring process of the human psyche, harnessed
by shamans, initiates of the ancient mystery schools, meditators, and
those who engage in guided imagery, biofeedback, EMDR and other
mind-altering techniques. Everyone goes spontaneously into a hypnotic
state several times a day by listening to music, daydreaming, or
engaging in any other activity that requires focused attention – this
is altered awareness. With hypnosis the individual can bypass the
limitations of the critical, conscious mind to enter the subconscious
where old patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving may be transformed
and where the person can connect to the SuperConscious Mind, the source
of vast creativity and talent, accurate intuition and profound wisdom.
In this workshop, after we discuss misconceptions about hypnosis,
participants will learn how to create their own self-hypnosis scripts
to change an unwanted pattern in the subconscious. Methods for putting
oneself into the hypnotic state and emerging from it will also be discussed. We will end by using hypnosis to tap some of the participants’ positive, subconscious memories to bring them a profound sense of well-being.
This workshop will be lead by Joe Mancini, Jr., Certified Clinical
Hypnotherapist, who helps individuals with their personal, business
or transpersonal development. In addition to hypnosis for mild depression,
anxiety, and other issues, Joe offers Neuro-Linguistic Programming,
Medical Support Hypnotherapy, and many kinds of regression, including

| Duo Shantala, Benjy and Heather Wertheimer
lead kirtan (sacred chanting) worldwide, bringing audiences sacred lyrics,
soul-stirring vocals, and exotic instrumentation. Kirtan is celebration
of spirit through the chanting of sacred names carrying participants into
a state of heightened awareness, bliss, and devotion. The audience is
invited to participate fully through call-and-response, dance, and
meditation. The weaving of Benjy's Indian classical singing and
instrumentation with Heather's soaring vocals is fresh, original, and
profoundly moving. Together they create a beautiful music full of passion
and reverence.
Shantala has performed and recorded internationally with
such sacred music luminaries as Krishna Das, Deva Premal and Miten, and
Jai Uttal, and frequently performs at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.
